Bridal Weight Loss

It is every girl’s wish to look like a divine damsel on wedding day. Very few attain this dream. The rest get certain basics wrong, ending up looking either fat, or dowdy, gaudy or unhealthy.

The causes are many. Either the beautician overdoes or the bride herself neglects important aspects.

Often brides site lack of time as the number one reason for their unpreparedness. Hence, it is imperative that a bride reschedules her day months in advance. Six months is less.

The final countdown begins from the time the couple gets betrothed. It’s true that the flush of joy lends a natural glow to the skin. Yet, she has to preserve her skin as though it were a delicate porcelain piece.

Exercise: Regardless of how slim you may be, never neglect exercising. This refreshes and keeps you in shape. Do yoga or Pilates regularly. Get your fiancé to exercise with you; you can be sure of sticking to your schedule!

Eat Healthy: What you must include is a whole some, well-balanced diet which has a mix of vitamins, proteins, minerals, starch and fats also.

Fatty food is the one which will give you stamina. However ensure you take plenty of greens and fruits too. Consult a dietician, especially if you are over-weight or under weight.

Scintillating Skin: Your skin is the mirror reflecting your general health and hygiene. An acne infested skin, dark circles under the eyes, pigmentation etc are a put-off and usually form without a warning.

Due to tension, even a blemish- free complexion is likely to erupt in pimples and rashes if you don’t care for your skin.

Remember the three main principles of face care – Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing. Consult a beautician and do sign up for a monthly clean-up or facial in a reputed parlor where cleanliness is a priority, for you don’t want to end up with an infection. Consume adequate water for glowing skin.

A few days before the d-day, sign for a spa treat. An expert at the spa will advise you the right kind of body wraps, oil or massage.

Never neglect your feet and hands. Regular pedicure and manicure is a must. If suffering from fungal infection, get treated.

Shop for your trousseau, jewellery, bridal make-up, etc well in advance. If possible, try your outfit and try a romp in the same, to avoid stumbling. You can be certain if it fits your frame.

Plus size brides: Nature doesn’t endow all her blessings on us sometimes. If you fall in the plus size category, do ensure you wear well-fitting clothes.

By well-fitting, I mean clothes that flaunt your assets and conceal your flaws. Never opt for very tight-fitting clothes, as you don’t want your bulges to spill out.

Put your best foot forward: Select foot-wear that are comfortable and don’t cause blisters. Even if your gown conceals your feet, you must select footwear that looks elegant and pretty. But don’t compromise on comfort.

Hair and now: Oil your hair frequently but wash it too. Use dandruff free shampoo. Consult a trichologist, for remedies that don’t rob your hair off its sheen. Opt for a hair-style that suits your face and is easy to carry. The hair-pins should not cause pain.

Sleep Over: Get at least 8 hours of sound sleep. This will erase dark circles; will keep you alert and fresh.

Taking your breath away: Drink enough water on your wedding day, as a parched mouth emits bad breath. Chew a few pieces of fennel seeds for a sweet smell. Also, get your teeth straightened out. Make them sparkle with a teeth whitening session!

Regardless of whether your wedding functions are at night or at dawn, ensure you get sufficient sleep and rest. With all these tips, you will be the dazzling damsel on your d-day!
